Music Bands have been the passion and one of the craziest things people have linked with their lives. A crowd of millions comes to their concert, and these bands have literal die-hard fans of them. The bands and their musicians are the heartthrobs of the crowd, especially women. These bands are the heart of every party and the youth’s obsession. But a heart is meant to break, and these bands have broke up as many hearts as they have made.
One Direction
While talking about the best bands of all time, how can one forget ‘One Direction.’
The band was formed in 2010, comprising five members- zayn, Louis, Harry, Nial, and Liam. After giving many hit albums such as made in the am, midnight memories, and four, the band couldn’t make it till the am and broke up. In 2015 zayn malik announced the beginning of his solo career, and his album went number one. While the other members recorded the fifth and the last album, “made in the am,” but ultimately announced their break, which hasn’t ended yet. The cause behind the breakup is unknown, but the fans blame Simon Cowell and the management for the hiatus. Though the solo career of artists is going well, fans are still hoping for a reunion.
Pink Floyd
An English rock band initially formed in 1965 by four members: Syd barret, nick mason, roger waters, and Richard Wright. The band became famous after releasing their two single albums, ‘the piper at the Gl gates of dawn’ in 1967. The same year David Gilmour joined as a guitarist and vocalist. Barret left the band in 1968 and Richard in 1979. Since then, the band hasn’t been the same. In 2006 many hearts were shattered when Syd Barret died, and two years Richard wright passed away. David Gilmour and Nick mason continued the band and have sold millions of records each passing year.
The Beatles
Indeed the best band of all times ‘the Beatles, put us all in shock when they broke up. The band was founded in 1960 by John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr. After being the best-selling music artist of all time and winning 7 Grammy awards, the band decided to renounce in 1969. There were numerous reasons behind the split, including the death of their manager in 1967. The use of heroin by the band member Lennon along with his relationship with Yoko Ono and the leading spirit of McCartney, perceived as dominated by the members, also called troubles for the band. In April 1970, McCartney announced that he would no longer be performing with the band, which led to legal disputes. Other members reunited in 1994; it was the last time we saw The Beatles performing collectively. The fab four stayed together for eight years but succeeded in living in our hearts rent-free forever.
Oasis
Oasis was a rock band started in 1991 by Liam Gallagher, Paul Arthurs, Paul McGuigan, and Tony McCarroll. Starting from their debut album, ‘definitely maybe,’ the band reached the heights of popularity and became the best band of all time. In 1999 McGuigan and Arthurs left the band and were replaced by Gem Archer and andy bell. Zak Starkey and Chris Sharrock were replaced, followed by the white left in 2004. During the years, fans have been disheartened by the departure of former band members. Still, the band broke up in 2009 when Noel Gallagher announced that he would no longer be performing with the band as he couldn’t get along with his brother Liam Gallagher.

While talking about the brother bands, The Everly Brothers are the one name that comes to anyone’s mind. The band was formed in 1951 by Don Everly and his brother Phil Everly. They released their debut song in 1957 ‘ bye-bye love,’ which hit no.1. Due to the conflicts with the CEO of Accuff-rose music, their popularity declined. Still, the duo maintained the position of the best band of all time. After 20 years of success, relationship issues arose between the brothers, which the public could witness through their physical fight on stage. In 1973, Don Everly showed up drunk. He couldn’t perform adequately, disgusted Phil, and he broke a guitar over his brother’s head. Since then, the brothers weren’t seen together until their father died. After that, the brothers went on a nostalgic European tour in 2005.

An English rock band founded in 1976 rose to heights of success after releasing their single ‘ rock the casbah .’The band was going well in the beginning until the serious heroin addiction interfered. Tropper Headon wrote the lyrics of the hit that made them a sensation, but due to his heroin addiction, he had to leave the band. Further, the conflicts started arising among the rest of the members about the style of the music they wanted to make. These disagreements made the members go on a hiatus, but a reunion was seen in 1983. Unfortunately, the reunion didn’t go well, and the band broke up after the announcement of Mick Jones, who decided he won’t be performing with the band anymore.
Smashing Pumpkins
Smashing pumpkins is a rock band started in 1988 by composer Billy Corgan, D’arcy Wretzky, James Iha, and Jimmy Chamberlin. The group was led by Billy Corgan, who was falsely perceived as dominating. Corgan put the idea of him playing bass and guitar on the band’s hit song ‘siamese dream. The idea was opposed by the bassist D’arcy and guitarist James Iha, but Corgan wasn’t ready to compromise. The band still managed to go well for three more years. In 1996 keyboardist Jonathan Melvin passed away due to a heroin overdose. In the year 2000, the band broke up due to the drug addiction of other members.
Queen
Queen is a British music band formed in 1970 consisting of 4 members-Freddie Mercury, Brian May, Roger Taylor, and John Deacon. Their intense vocals and Freddie mercury’s well-deserved status made the band one of the best bands of all time. Queen enjoyed years of success without any scandalous conflict among the group. Unfortunately, in 1991 Freddie died due to AIDS. His death left a huge scar on the band. Adam Lambert provided vocals in Freddie’s place during their tour in 2014, but the band couldn’t be the same since then.
Guns n Roses
Guns n roses were founded in 1985 and comprised Axl Rose, Slash, Izzy Stradlin, Duff McKagan, and Steven Adler. The group gained massive fame after their debut album ‘appetite for destruction’ was released in 1987. In 1990, the group decided to fire the band’s official drummer, Steven Adler, because of his drug addiction. The unprofessional behavior of Adler led to conflicts among the members. After the ‘Use your illusion’ tour in 1993, the band couldn’t keep it together and officially broke up.
